31 Years of Surfing Instruction
In 1990, Ocean Experience became San Diego's first surf school. With the Pacific Ocean as the classroom, you'll experience our proven learn-to-surf method with the best ocean rescue certified instructors and the surf equipment Southern California has to offer. We offer daily group and private surf lessons that will teach you the basics and get you up and riding waves whether you’re an OB native or just visiting for the day! Call ahead and book your lessons at least 24 hours in advance to reserve your spot. Ocean Experience surf lessons and camps build confidence, ensure success and empower students of all ages and abilities!
A portion of every camp tuition is donated
to provide summer camps to at risk youth and provide empowering surf lessons to those who never thought they could surf.
Your contribution through the purchase of a summer camp, lesson or donation goes to help students gain confidence, self empowerment, Resilience and friendships.

Thank you to all of you for your support as we transition into a non-profit organization, Ocean Experience Institute, where we will continue to spread the love of the ocean to everyone including at risk, disadvantaged, and disabled students of all ages.
Clubs & Camps
Ocean Experience offers a wide variety of camps and clubs throughout the year. As a non-profit organization we have been able to provide over $7,858 to local schools and charities and over 10 scholarships to student to be able to attend our unique surf and skate camps.
